God of Wonders

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day for a field trip! Steven and I, my sister Cathy and her two children, Faith and Erik, were going to go on a picnic on Skyline Drive in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. It is there that I stand in awe at the landscape....and I am humbled and amazed by God's handiwork. When I look around at the scenery, I think, "How can anyone NOT believe there is a God!" Look at what HE has created! WOW!

Well, we never had the picnic. When my sister got to the house, the kids were so hungry they couldn't wait till we reached the mountain so we ate lunch before we left. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Had we waited until we got to the mountain for lunch, we never would have been in the right place at the right time to see the deer, nor the momma bear and her 2 cubs, and another cub UP CLOSE! It was truly amazing!!! We sat by the side of the road for about 20 minutes hanging out the window to get the PERFECT picture. I know the woman who pulled up right in front of me just as I was taking it has it, and wish I knew where to find her so I can get a copy! ha ha

Well, as soon as I can figure out how to upload the pictures from my camera, I will share our pictures with you. They still came out nice.
