I don't know about you, but I am an animal lover and proud of it! We have 2 dogs; Paws is 9, she is my faithful 1/2 black lab and 1/2 border collie companion ( I couldn't find a lab blinkie), and Bailey who is almost 2, is the most adorable pug
you have ever seen.
We also have 5 cats , 3 of which are brothers: Hope (we thought he was a girl), Rascal (who lives up to his name), Simba (who likes to type while I am working), Emma (formerly known as Booger by her previous family, our neighbors, until they up and moved and just left her here), and Kitty, a kitten who my daughter Sarah found one evening while out with her friends (she sits on my left shoulder like a parrot while I do the housework and who loves to block the vent on the top of the monitor where the heat escapes).
Now I must not forget Baby and Mouse. They are to chinchillas we got from Petco that were born in the Ande's (sp?) Mountains. They are soooooooooooooooo soft and so beautiful! On the rare occasion they do try and escape, Rascal and Simba are in hot pursuit, while Hope just stands there with the, "IF YOU JUST STAND THERE LONG ENOUGH, THEY WILL COME RIGHT TO YOU" look on his face. It is hilarious!!!
Anyway, I love it when they come and sit on my lap, or climb up on my shoulders and rub their head on my chin, just wanting to have a little bit of attention and love. You should see it when Rascal will come in and stand right in front of me, look up lovingly into my eyes, and then CAT-APULT himself into mid air, hoping that I will catch them. I should put a video of that up for you to see!
The only thing I have a problem with all of them is that I can't turn around without tripping over one , opening up the pantry closet only to find two eyes staring at me, sitting on one , closing one in the dryer, locking one in the closet, finding one in the hamper or in the dog food bin, or even going to the bathroom without one sitting on my lap! I would hate to think of where I might find the chinchillas if they were not locked up in their cage!
Hey, you know what? All these things that they do are wonderful and make every day an exciting adventure..........................I wouldn't trade them for the world!
